Description
This model view supports the processes that manage EHRi user identities and the related requirement to record the relationship between specific clinicians and their patients withing the boundaries of a particular jurisdiction's related regulation.
Key characteristics (attributes): Id, Interaction Artifact Id, Profile Ids, Template Ids, Effective Date/Time.
Rationale
The EHRi is a new capability that needs to be trusted before it will be used. This information model expresses the essential entities and their relationships that will support a high trust model.
Implementation Considerations
Business Processes and accompanying data stores must be created to operationalize the identity management and consent management processes. While the EHRi does to intend to support notification messages (to date), it must permit the ability to clinicians to post information intended for other clinicians to review, in some cases prior to any actual contact with the intended clinician. This is current practice in a paper world and will need to be supported to gain clinician acceptance for the EHRi.
