Rationale

This view is intended to demonstrate how the HL7 V3 concept of Organizer can be used to construct containers for related information. The information concepts can be constructed from Clinical Event elements by using relationships and specifying particular participations and their accompanying roles and entities definitions. This view exposes information topics that are included in structural vocabulary but may not be apparent in standard static models. A set of templates would define the expected constraints to define the various organizers and their components.

Implementation Considerations

Until the methodology and tooling evolve to the extent that Templates can be fully expressed in automation ready representation, the most effective way to specify a Template is as a specific implementation guide that identifies all expected components, conditions and constraints on vocabulary value sets and relationships. No new information model components can be added, but using structural codes, the various information subjects can be made explicit.
