User requests to add a new patient to the Client Registry

POS System sends a notification to the EHRi System specifying the provider identity, and the Client Registry Information to be created.

The EHRi System IIP Put workflow:

  • Determines the patient does not exist in the Client Registry
  • Creates new patient in the Client Registry with a unique EHR Client ID (eCID)
  • Synchronizes new patient client registry information with participating client registries in other jurisdictions.
  • Returns the eCID to the POS System

The POS System receives a response from the
