Immunization at school (9.1.1) Storyboard: Immunization (9.1)
Tim and Gareth Lambert are in grade 4 and are to receive their immunizations along with all of their class mates at school.
The public health nurse has her list of students whose parents have provided consent for their child to receive the immunizations.
When it is Tim’s turn, the nurse accesses his health profile and quickly reviews his past immunizations and any allergies. She gives him his injections and repeats the process for the next student. She records each immunization in her application.
Assumptions
· Nurse can access immunization history and allergies through health profile
· A copy of nurse’s record of each immunization is sent to EHR
