Services
These services protect a patient’s privacy by removing all personal
identifiers. The goal is to make information accessible to
secondary users of healthcare data (healthcare researchers and
administrators) without infringing on patient privacy. In some
cases, pseudonymization (use of a unique code designation in place
of identity-revealing material) may be preferred to complete
anonymization.
