Communication Step Summary

Description:

This EHR Communication Step will use client and provider identifying information to retrieve a patient’s event details from an EHRi System repository.

The type of event to be retrieved will depend on the EHR user / POS system supplying domain, constraint and message parameters to the Get Event communication step request. Patient event data may be retrieved directly or indirectly from the following repositories:

 

Get Event will retrieve a domain specific “Focal Act” that may have Act Relationships with other Acts containing more details about the Event. This communication steps gets both the main focal act event and any related sub-event information as one logical unit from the EHRi System.

The retrieval of a patient’s clinical Event may be constrained by event types such as:
