Definition

Information about the definitions of topics of interest. Health subject definitions may be used across jurisdictions or may only apply to a particular model or specific data source. The scope of the shared understanding must be across the same boundaries as the expected scope of interoperability. The scope may vary from intra-organizational to Pan Canadian. Any time the scope of inter-operability increases, the definitions of all shared topics will need to be verified to ensure consistent semantics are retained.
