A situation considered to occur. A record of a change in state of some object of interest at a particular time.

Synonyms

HL7 defines Acts as the focal objects of interest. Event is considered as an act that has happened, compared to other "moods" that may ask something to happen, predict something will happen or intend something to happen. In effect though, Acts and Events are equivalent concepts.

EHRi Identifier

EHRi identifiers will need to be created for all events that are the focus of an interaction and therefore participate in an EHRi index.
